Provides UMMA graduates with three weeks of job readiness training. Includes help with resumes, completing applications, and preparing for interviews.

Provides outpatient mental health services, including:

• Mental health check ups
• Individual, family or couples therapy
• In-home or in-school therapy for eligible youth
• Psychological Testing
• Anger Management Evaluations
• Anger Management Treatment

Provides court advocacy and crisis intervention for child victims of abuse. Investigates child physical and sexual abuse allegations. Coordinates specialized medical examinations and assistance to local police departments. Also offers referrals to area agencies and/or private therapists for ongoing counseling needs.

Provides assistance with food, utilities, rent, medical expenses, and other immediate needs. Meets the client in their home and conducts a needs assessment. Provides referrals for community resources to support long-term sufficiency. NOTE: Saint Vincent de Paul provides general assistance services throughout Lake County. Individuals who do not meet residency requirements for this location will be referred to their nearest site.

Offers activities and services for older adults in the community, including:

• Recreational opportunities for active older adults
• Counseling and support groups
• Senior Health Insurance (SHIP) counselors
• Lending Closet

Provides a monthly discount on landline or wireless phone service to low-income households. Discount for either phone or internet, but not both.

Offers monthly financial support for residents who cannot work or are seeking employment. Provides support for basic needs including rent, utilities, medical expenses, and food.

Coordinates educational services for homeless students. Acts as a link between family, shelter, school system, and community resources.

Offers a monthly food box for Lake County residents in need.

Offers the following activities and services to seniors:

• Transportation for medical appointments (within Lake Forest and Lake Bluff only)
• Medical Equipment Lending Closet (loans medical equipment for up to three months to residents of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff)
• Medicare and insurance information and assistance
• Social services advocacy and benefits assistance
• Health and fitness programs
• Educational programs
• Trips and tours

Offers education and career development for Lake County youth ages 16-24. Participants receive a stipend while earning a high school diploma. Provides college and career readiness training, and the following supportive services:

• Mental health and substance abuse counseling
• Food, shelter, and transportation assistance
• Childcare assistance
• Legal aid
• Financial management assistance

Also offers the Pre-Apprenticeship program for young adults who already have a high school diploma. Participants earn a stipend while receiving job training for a career in the construction industry.

Offers free Thanksgiving dinner for individuals in need. Participants must register by November 14, 2025 to attend.

Administers licenses, permits, stamps, and tags for wildlife-related activities, including:

• Hunting
• Specialized fishing
• Permits for commercial fishing
• Camping/shelter reservation

Offers basic computer skills classes for adults. Aims to help improve job readiness and self sufficiency.

Provides emergency financial assistance on a case by case basis. Assistance may include utilities, rent, mortgage, medical bills, and transportation.

Provides information and financial assistance for people and small businesses affected by disasters. Financial assistance is only available for losses not covered by insurance. Assistance is also only available in an area where a disaster, declared by the President of the United States, occurred. If a disaster is federally declared, FEMA may provide financial assistance for:

• Necessary home repairs
• Emergency assistance for mortgage and rent
• Home replacement
• Medical and dental services
• Funeral services
• Transportation, moving, and storage services

Provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and supplemental food to eligible women and children. Offers assistance to buy healthy foods and baby formula. Also provides referrals to health care and community services.

Offers individual and group psychotherapy for adults, children, families, and adolescents. Counselors work with clients to structure a treatment plan that addresses their needs. Offers annual event distributing winter coats for children in need. Also accepts donations of gently used children's winter coats.

Provides education to the public about sexual violence. Aims to spread awareness and prevent future violence from occurring. Offers presentations for staff, students, and parents. Also offers trainings for professionals who work with survivors of sexual assault.

These cards are being distributed free of charge nationwide by the FamilyWize Partnership and participating United Way agencies, county agencies, community and faith based organizations, doctors, businesses and some pharmacies. Offers after school program for D56 Viking Middle School students. Provides age-appropriate after school and summer activities for Lake County youth ages 5-18 years. Programming includes a snack, hot dinner, and homework help. Also offers the following:
