Provides outpatient mental health services to youth and their families. Treatment Services include: Trauma-informed therapy for individuals, families, and groups, Crisis intervention, Substance abuse counseling, Case management, Psychiatric/medication services. Service Programs include: Screening Assessment and Support Services (SASS): A 90-day crisis intervention program, psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management; and case management. Treatment lasts about 3 to 6 months; Mental Health Juvenile Justice Program (MHJJ): Serves youth ages 8 to 18 years old; AND have had contact with the juvenile justice system within the last 90 days; OR are at risk of juvenile justice involvement; An MHJJ liaison that works with children and their families for six months and connects them to treatment resources; Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS): serves youth who are in DCFS Youth in Care; AND are at risk of losing their current foster home placements; OR have just transitioned between placements; The Family Support Program (FSP): Serves children under 18 who need more intensive community-based therapeutic services or residential treatment services.

Provides operators to relay conversations between people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, and those they wish to communicate with by telephone. Service offered 24 hours a day. Both TTY callers and voice callers may use relay service to communicate. Services are available in both English and Spanish.

Provides drug users a fast-track to addiction treatment services. Allows individuals to call or walk-in to Lake County Sheriff's Offices to request help. Individuals may surrender any drugs or paraphernalia without risk of criminal charges. A deputy will immediately coordinate phone screening with the Lake County Health Department. Based on the evaluation, individual will begin outpatient or inpatient treatment. Provides a police escort for any individuals who cannot transport themselves.

Provides prescription drug disposal box for old, outdated, or unused prescription drugs. Items not acceptable for deposit in the collection box are:

• Mercury-containing thermometers
• Illicit drugs
• Herbal remedies
• Vitamins
• Supplements

Provides 24-hour crisis intervention services by phone and walk-in for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Offers a mobile crisis team for individuals living in Palatine, Wheeling, and Buffalo Grove areas of Lake County.

Provides a weekly food pantry and care closet for families enrolled within the North Chicago School District #187. Offers non-perishable food items, hygiene and household products, and school supplies.

Provides an online map of cooling/warming centers throughout Lake County. Centers do not provide provisions or care, they are for relief from the heat or cold only.

Offers mutual support program for relatives and friends of alcoholics. Includes Ala-Teen meetings for teenagers effected by family alcoholism.

Offers resources and services designed to meet the learning needs of the community. Also provides programs that introduce and encourage reading. Resources include:

• Notary (by appointment only)
• Voter registration

Offers various educational programs for Lake County youth, including:

• 4-H Youth Development: Introduces youth to potential careers and offers training.
• Commercial Agriculture: Works to address the needs of various local producers.
• Consumer Economics: Offer tips, strategies, and insights into managing finances.
• Horticulture: Encourages individuals to learn about the benefits of flower and vegetable growing.
• Nutrition and Wellness: Food safety to nutrition to chronic disease prevention and management.
• Family Life: Connect with information and resources to assist with helping family members

Coordinates educational services for students who are experiencing homelessness. Acts as a link between family, shelter, and school to serve the needs of the student.

Free summer school program for children entering kindergarten in the Waukegan School District. Allows students to practice following directions and learn key skills. Program runs for three weeks during the summer and is taught by licensed teachers.

Manages student led clinic for patients without insurance. Provides primary care, vaccinations, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease chronic care. Offers physical therapy, podiatry, and behavioral health services.

Offers general library services and resources at no cost, including:

• Access to books, movies, audiobooks, and music
• Access to computers, printers, and wi-fi
• Notary services
• Curbside pick-up and home delivery for books
