Pediatric Health Services: Provides complete care to children from birth to age 18. Services include: developmental assessments, hearing and dental screening as well as basic vision testing, and immunizations, and lead testing. Provides a holiday toy for Lake County children ages birth to 12 years. Registration takes place online from October 15, 2025 to November 30, 2025. Visit the website during this time to register your child/children for a holiday gift. Additional Information:

• Family First Center is the only Toys for Tots family registration site for Lake County residents.
• Families must register online by November 30, 2025 to receive a holiday toy.
• Document verification will be by appointment only for the 2025 season.

Coordinates educational services for high school students who are experiencing homelessness. Acts as a link between family, shelter and school system to serve the needs of the student.

Provides free developmental screening for children under the age of five who reside in Waukegan. Offers a free pre-school program for children under the age of three who qualify based on screening. Qualified children between the ages of 3-5 will be referred for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Children with an IEP will qualify for special education services based on individual needs.

Offers the following activities and services to seniors:

• Transportation for medical appointments (within Lake Forest and Lake Bluff only)
• Medical Equipment Lending Closet (loans medical equipment for up to three months to residents of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff)
• Medicare and insurance information and assistance
• Social services advocacy and benefits assistance
• Health and fitness programs
• Educational programs
• Trips and tours

Offers individual and group counseling for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. Groups are available in confidential locations in various cities.

Provides emergency financial assistance to residents who are in need, including:

• Rental and utility assistance
• Employed clients who have transportation issues

Residents can receive assistance up to three times. Each time must be 18 months apart.

• First time applicants qualify for up to $400 of assistance
• Second time applicants qualify for up to $250 of assistance
• Third (and last) time applicants qualify for up to $150 of assistance

Applicants are required to participate in a financial session before receiving funds.

Offers reproductive and sexual health medical services, including:

• Abortion (medication abortion, procedural abortion, and follow-up exams)
• Birth control and emergency contraception
• STD, HIV, and pregnancy testing

Individuals who do not meet residency requirements for this location will be referred to their nearest site.
