Serves as a health center with a variety of outpatient services. Provides Pediatric Services, Women's Health Services, Primary Care Services, STI/HIV Program Services and Gender Health Services. Pediatric Health Services: Provides complete care to children from birth to age 18. Services include: developmental assessments, hearing and dental screening as well as basic vision testing, and immunizations, and lead testing. Women's Health Services: Provides a wide range of outpatient comprehensive services for women of all ages. Services include counseling, prenatal, and gynecological care. Primary Care Services: Offers a broad spectrum of personal and community services directed at individuals and families of all races, genders and ages who are unable to access the private medical sector. STI/HIV Services: Provide sexually transmitted infections (STI) and HIV prevention services. Services include: testing, treatment, and free condoms and other safe sex supplies. Dental Care Services: Provides primary dental care for children and adults. Services include: dental exams, cleaning, and referrals to Orthodontics.

Provides emergency financial assistance to residents who are in need, including:

• Rental and utility assistance
• Employed clients who have transportation issues

Residents can receive assistance up to three times. Each time must be 18 months apart.

• First time applicants qualify for up to $400 of assistance
• Second time applicants qualify for up to $250 of assistance
• Third (and last) time applicants qualify for up to $150 of assistance

Applicants are required to participate in a financial session before receiving funds.

Provides assistance to crash victims in the State of Illinois, such as:

• Emotional support to crash victims and families
• Informal legal guidance
• Assistance with victim impact statements and victim compensation applications
• Financial assistance through the Victim Assistance Fund (established in 1991)
• Accompany victims to court
• Track case outcomes and ensure justice and rights are upheld

Provides a list of free tax preparation program locations in Lake County. Provides information for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs.

Provides door to door medical transportation assistance pickup and dropoff services. Offers two round trip rides per month as long as the rides are not within the same week.

Provides prescription drug and sharps disposal boxes for outdated or unused prescription drugs. The collection boxes are located at the Lindenhurst Village Hall. Items acceptable for the prescription disposal box include:

• Prescription medications, including controlled substances
• All over-the counter medications
• Medication samples
• Pet medications
• Vitamins and supplements
• Medicated ointments, lotions, creams and oils
• Liquid medication in leak-proof containers
• Homeopathic remedies

Items not acceptable for deposit in the collection box are:

• Needles/sharps
• Syringes with needles
• Thermometers
• IV bags
• Bloody or infectious waste
• Personal care products
• Empty containers
• Hydrogen Peroxide

Sharps Container available in the lobby for needle disposal. Sharps include:

• Syringes
• Hypodermic Needles
• Needles attached to tubing
• Lancets

To properly dispose of needles, do the following:

• Must use an approved disposal container that fits inside the disposal bin
• DO NOT deposit any loose sharps into the collection bin

Provides assistance to Lake County veterans and their families, including: Processing any/all claims with Veterans Affairs (VA) Emergency financial assistance Survivor spousal benefits Burial benefits

Offers state-licensed abortion services, including:

• Medication abortions for women who are up to 11 weeks pregnant
• Surgical abortions for women who are up to 20 weeks pregnant

Also offers free urine pregnancy tests.

Provides bus transportation service via: Shared-ride service Curb-to-curb service (drivers cannot escort riders outside of the vehicle or carry packages)

Offers hot noontime meals throughout Lake County for residents 60 years and older. Must call ahead for reservation. See dining schedule for times and locations.

Offers a weekly food pantry to residents of Zion, Winthrop Harbor, Wadsworth or Beach Park.

Delivers hot, nutritious midday meals to homebound Lake County seniors.

Offers resources and services designed to meet the learning needs of the community. Also provides programs that introduce and encourage reading. Resources include:

• Public computer and internet access
• Voter registration services
• Test proctoring
• Book delivery for individuals unable to visit the library
• Community visits to schools, retirement homes, and assisted living facilities

Offers general counseling for couples, families, and individuals ages 5 years and older.

Administrative office which operates and oversees schools in the Barrington and surrounding areas. Has one high school, two middle school campuses for grades 6-8, eight elementary schools, and one early childhood center.

Free summer school program for children entering kindergarten in the Round Lake District. Allows students to practice following directions and learn key skills. Program runs for three weeks during the summer and is taught by licensed teachers.
