Oversees law enforcement services for the Village of Deerfield. Provides 9-1-1 emergency services when there is an immediate threat to life or property. Investigates crimes and arrests crime suspects. Prevents the development of a serious crime. Also provides certified child safety seat installation. Dial 9-1-1 for emergency assistance.

Provides emergency financial assistance to residents who are in need, including:

• Rental and utility assistance
• Employed clients who have transportation issues

Residents can receive assistance up to three times. Each time must be 18 months apart.

• First time applicants qualify for up to $400 of assistance
• Second time applicants qualify for up to $250 of assistance
• Third (and last) time applicants qualify for up to $150 of assistance

Applicants are required to participate in a financial session before receiving funds.

Provides outpatient mental health services to youth and their families. Service Programs include: Screening Assessment and Support Services (SASS): A 90-day crisis intervention program, psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management; and case management. Treatment lasts about 3 to 6 months; Mental Health Juvenile Justice Program (MHJJ): Serves youth ages 8 to 18 years old; AND have had contact with the juvenile justice system within the last 90 days; OR are at risk of juvenile justice involvement; An MHJJ liaison that works with children and their families for six months and connects them to treatment resources; Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS): serves youth who are in DCFS Youth in Care; AND are at risk of losing their current foster home placements; OR have just transitioned between placements; The Family Support Program (FSP): Serves children under 18 who need more intensive community-based therapeutic services or residential treatment services.
