Offers one-time financial assistance for rent or mortgage for Lake County residents. Clients may receive up to one month of rental assistance, once per year. Does NOT help with the following circumstances:

• Eviction notices
• Security deposits
• Individuals living in subsidized housing, low-income housing, or with a Section-8 voucher

General Assistance Provides temporary financial support to help township residents pay overdue rent and utilities. Also covers the cost of car repairs if the individual is employed. Aid is provided short-term while resident finds employment or waits for disability decision. Emergency Assistance Offers one-time financial aid to help township residents prevent eviction or utility disconnection.

Provides intervention services to prevent further incidents of domestic violence. Services include:

• Domestic violence assessments
• Individual and group therapy
• Anger management
• Workshops and community education for prevention of domestic violence

Provides law enforcement and emergency services within the Village of Lakemoor. Works with the community to promote safety, reduce crime, and preserve peace.

Investigates various housing cases and provides legal information on fair housing rights. Points of investigations and services include: Possible housing discrimination Community legal education Assisting clients to resolve fair housing disputes with housing providers Helping clients with disabilities obtain reasonable accommodations and modifications in housing

Offers health literacy and educational workshops. Topics include cancer, cardiovascular disease, nutrition, osteoporosis, and sexually transmitted infections. Also offers mammograms and screenings for blood sugar, cholesterol, osteoporosis, and blood pressure. Screenings are offered every third week of the month. Other services include:

Provides sexual health services for Lake County residents ages 12 years and older. Provides comprehensive care and prevention services, including:

• HIV testing, counseling, and care
• Hepatitis C screening, counseling, and care
• Hepatitis A/B and HPV vaccinations
• STI testing, counseling, and treatment
• LGBTQ+ and gender health services
• PrEP and nPEP medication
• Support groups
• Needle exchange
• Safe sex supplies
• Referrals for related medical and behavioral health services

Provides assessment and treatment for women with a history of infertility or unexplained pregnancy loss. Treatment involves identifying and addressing immune disorders that may be preventing a healthy, full-term pregnancy.

Promotes a variety of social and sports programs for youth and adults. Facilities include a swimming pool and outdoor ice skating rink.

Offers reservation-based transportation for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income township residents. Provides handicap accessible vehicles and door-to-door assistance.

Offers resources and services designed to meet the learning needs of the community. Provides programs that introduce and encourage reading. Also offers the following services: Access to public computers Wi-Fi internet Public notary Passport application processing Voter registration Free book delivery for homebound patrons

Provides workshops to repay unsecured debt at lower interest and fees. Counselors provides clients with a program suited to their ability to pay and provides an estimate of the time to complete the program. Also offers: Assistance with housing issues Debt Bankruptcy Student loans

Offers a monthly food pantry for individuals in need.

Provides drug users a fast-track to addiction treatment services. Allows individuals to call or walk-in to a participating Lake County police department to request help. Individuals may surrender any drugs or paraphernalia without risk of criminal charges. A deputy will immediately coordinate phone screening with the Lake County Health Department. Based on the evaluation, individual will begin outpatient or inpatient treatment. Provides a police escort for any individuals who cannot transport themselves. NOTE: If you are unable to pay for treatment due to lack of insurance or financial resources, you will not be turned away from participation. Participant will be matched with an available treatment provider that accepts commercial insurance, Medicaid Plan, or who provides financial assistance.

• Gravel shouldering
• Litter pickup
• Roadside mowing
• Road striping
• Street signage

Provides intensive outpatient treatment program (IOP) for adults with substance use disorder. Provides individualized treatment plan and includes the following services: Individual, group, and family therapy Medication-Assisted Treatment Dual diagnosis treatment Motivational interviewing

Provides education to the public about domestic violence and human trafficking. Aims to prevent future violence and spread awareness about resources. Also offers 40-hour training workshops and school presentations to discuss teen dating violence.

Offers half-price taxi fares for seniors and adults with disabilities. Registered participants can purchase monthly taxi coupons from the Township Office of Vernon Hills. Coupons can be used for local transportation with the American Taxi Company only.
