General Assistance Provides temporary financial support to help township residents pay overdue rent and utilities. Also covers the cost of car repairs if the individual is employed. Aid is provided short-term while resident finds employment or waits for disability decision. Emergency Assistance Offers one-time financial aid to help township residents prevent eviction or utility disconnection.

Oversees law enforcement services for the Village of Riverwoods. Provides 9-1-1 emergency services when there is an immediate threat to life or property. Enforces traffic laws and illegal drug and alcohol violations. Also provides certified child safety seat installation. Dial 9-1-1 for emergency assistance.

A designated location that provides relief from extreme heat or cold for at-risk citizens. A warming and cooling center does not offer provisions or care, they are for relief from the heat only. In case of emergency, food and hot drinks will be provided by the township.
