Offers counseling services for individuals, couples, and families coping with a cancer diagnosis. Also offers consultations to address needs and concerns during a cancer diagnosis. Bereavement counseling is also available.

Donation-based boutique operated by Mundelein High School and open to the surrounding community. Offers a food pantry and clothing items free of charge for the community. May visit once per month.

Provides prescription drug disposal boxes for outdated or unused prescription drugs. The collection box is located in the police department lobby. Items acceptable for deposit in the collection box include:

• Prescription medications, including controlled substances
• All over-the counter medications
• Medication samples
• Pet medications

• Medicated ointments, lotions, creams and oils
• Liquid medication in leak-proof containers

Offers after school program for LEARN 9 Charter School students. Provides age-appropriate after school and summer activities for Lake County youth ages 5-18. Programming includes a snack, hot dinner, and homework help. Also offers the following:

• Health/athletic activities
• Outdoor activities
• Cultural arts
• Leadership development activities
• Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) activities
• Career exploration
• Character development

Promotes a variety of social and sports programs for youth and adults. Facilities include an aquatic center, community gym, marina, and a beach.

Informal social group for adults with Alzheimer's or related dementias, and their caregivers. Provides an opportunity for socialization, activities, and support. Meetings take place at the Ela Area Public Library.

Offers a free day camp for Lake County youth each summer. Provides free breakfast and lunch, and one bag of nutritional snacks for the weekend.

Offers reservation-based transportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Provides curb-to-curb service. All buses are wheelchair accessible and equipped with lift ramps. NOTE: Individuals with disabilities must be ADA Paratransit Certified. Call the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) ADA Paratransit Certification program to request an application and schedule an in-person eligibility interview.

• Hepatitis C screening, counseling, and care
• Hepatitis A/B and HPV vaccinations
• STI testing, counseling, and treatment
• LGBTQ+ and gender health services
• PrEP and nPEP medication
• Support groups
• Needle exchange
• Safe sex supplies
• Referrals for related medical and behavioral health services

Offers education and career development for Lake County youth ages 16-24. Participants receive a stipend while earning a high school diploma. Provides college and career readiness training, and the following supportive services:

• Mental health and substance abuse counseling
• Food, shelter, and transportation assistance
• Childcare assistance
• Legal aid
• Financial management assistance

Also offers the Pre-Apprenticeship program for young adults who already have a high school diploma. Participants earn a stipend while receiving job training for a career in the construction industry.

Provides opportunities for adults to volunteer with Girl Scout troops. Opportunities include troop leaders, assistant leaders, cookie managers, etc.

Provides a monthly discount on landline or wireless phone service to low-income households. Discount for either phone or internet, but not both.

Offers free adult learning classes to members of the public. Includes the following classes:

• English as a Second Language (ESL)
• Spanish GED classes
• Citizenship tutoring
• Spanish language classes
• Computer skills and resume writing

Provides early childhood education for children ages 2-5 years. *Children must be 2 by September 1 to be eligible for care in the 2 year old program.*
