Provides services to low-income veterans and their families who are at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Supportive services include:

• Housing stabilization
• Temporary financial assistance (including rent, security deposit, utilities and car repairs; based on eligibility)
• Intensive, short-term case management
• Assistance with VA and mainstream benefits

Provides assistance with food, utilities, rent, medical expenses, and other immediate needs. Meets the client in their home and conducts a needs assessment. Provides referrals for community resources to support long-term sufficiency. NOTE: Saint Vincent de Paul provides general assistance services throughout Lake County. Individuals who do not meet residency requirements for this location will be referred to their nearest site.

Offers financial aid to help Township residents prevent loss of home, job, or utilities. Funds are available once every two years and provide help to meet basic needs, including:

• Preventing eviction or past due rent/mortgage
• Preventing utility disconnection
• Work-related expense necessary to getting or keeping a job (for example, uniform or licensing fees)
• Cost of prescription medication

Amount of assistance determined on a case-by-case basis. Program does not disburse cash as all funds will be paid directly to vendors.

Offers financial assistance for gender transition medication for qualified LGBTQ+ Lake County residents.

Provides emergency financial assistance to help township residents alleviate life-threatening circumstances. Provides assistance for circumstances such as:

• Eviction
• Utility disconnection
• Prescription expenses
• Employment assistance
• Transportation
• Funeral and burial
• ID's

**Serves residents of Waukegan Township and Shields Township**
