Offers application assistance for the following home-energy and weatherization discount programs: Low Income Discount Program (LID) new program starts January 1st, 2026 Provides percentage based discount on monthly electric bill for qualyfying customers up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. Eligible customers who received LIHEAP or PIPP from a local administering agency since October 2024 should be automatically enrolled. Applicants not eligible for LIHEAP, but within income guidelines can self certify through ComEd Smart Assistance Manager starting January 1st, 2026. Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP): Helps low-income households pay for home-heating costs. This includes natural gas, propane, electric bills, and furnace assistance. Households facing shutoff may receive immediate help at emergency service sites. May qualify for additional assistance if furnace is deemed inoperable or unsafe. Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP): Offers an affordable payment plan based on household income. Also offers chance to eliminate past-due balances. Share the Warmth, North Shore Gas customers: Provides heating grants to limited and fixed-income households. Eligible customers can receive grants of up to $200 on their bills. Weatherization: Offers to make homes of low-income families more energy-efficient. Assesses the needs of the home and recommends improvements. Services includes:

• Attic and wall insulation
• Air sealing
• Window and door weatherization
• Furnace repair or replacement

Provides assistance with transportation services for older adults and individuals with disabilities. PACE/Dial-A-Ride:

• Provides application assistance for RTA Ride Free program. Ride Free program provides door-to-door transportation for medical appointments and personal errands.

Half-Fare Taxi Program:

• Distributes coupons for half-priced taxi fares. Provides up to 10 coupons at a time.

Offers independent living skills training for individuals with disabilities. Offers the following courses:

• Assistive technology training
• Braille training
• Independent living skills training
• Personal assistant services: teaches individuals how to hire and manage in-home care assistants
• Adult employment readiness - 12-week course offering job skills assessment, resume writing, financial literacy, and assistance finding work
• Youth employment readiness: 18-week course offering job skills development
• Older blind services - geared towards seniors with vision loss who are already trained in adaptive devices

Also offers information and referral services, benefits counseling, and application assistance.
